And that’s a wrap! Suzi will start her next chapter in Jan 2015 with Issue 4 “Slaves of the Flesh Forge”! This weekend I’ll have more information on the progress of the Suzi Quazar Animated Series. Thanks so much for sticking with the story this far!
And then there was one! Hard to believe that we are almost at the end of Issue 3! I have spent the past two months quietly working on the animated series, and that required more attention that I thought it would. I know the comic has been skipped for a couple of weeks, but I think you guys will like what I have done so far.
This has been one of the harder weeks I have faced in a long while. I posted an image on the blog called “Forgotten Goodbye”. This image was my gut reaction to the news that my mother had passed away. She had battled Alzheimer’s for five years, but now she has moved on to a place where there is no pain or loss.
In the image, I added a not so hidden message. You can’t really see it at the lower resolution I used for the blog post, so here is a close up. My Mom always did her best to make sure I had books in front of me.
She didn’t care what I was reading, as long as I was reading. I can’t tell you how that simple act has paid so many dividends in my life. You wouldn’t be reading this post now if not for her.
Thanks Mom, for encouraging me to reach for the stars.
This would normally be the last page of the book, but I am extending Issue 3 to 32 pages. We are seeing Suzi shift from reaction to action, and it’s going to be fun!
This issue is going to run 32 pages instead of the usual 28 I normally target. I am also getting Issue 2 rebuilt (I lost a few pages of the original files when I upgraded the hard drives on this machine). I am shooting for a special holiday edition comic that has issues 1-3, along with the first chapter of the Suzi novel. I am also going to throw in the long awaited decoder wheel and some games and pinups. The Super Size Suzi Spectacular #1 will be on sale in time for the holidays. Fun times are here!
I am getting back into playing more games, and so I am giving Neverwinter Nights a closer look. What games do you guys like? My kids are trying to get me into League of Legends, but I have been dragging my feet. Any thoughts for a n00b?
Wow, we are getting close to the end of Issue 3! And work is coming along nicely on animating Issue 1! Yep, and actual cartoon adaptation of Terror at the Edge of the Universe. I am shooting for having a trailer ready by Thanksgiving, with the cartoon possibly airing on 3.19.15. Things are really looking up!
Wow, only 4 pages left in Issue 3! Time is flying by, and between working on Issue 4 AND hammering out the workflow for an animated short, it’s been crazy busy. And busy is good!
