  • Game stuff!

I started playing Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft this month.  I didn’t like it at first, but once I read up on the mechanics, it’s growing on me.  I also jumped into League of Legends, my kiddos love that game so I wanted to give it a shot.

I am also in Star Trek Online and Neverwinter, so if you play any of these games, comment with your name and I will say “Hey!” next time I get on.

  • Site news

I am working out the final kinks of the site update.  I am still tweaking the process for showing the double page spreads in a lightbox type effect, so bear with me while I get that implemented.

As always, I am certainly open to suggestions from you guys on what I can do to make the site a fun experience for you.  The next phase is going to be a complete update and deployment of the Suzi store.  I have a couple of ideas in mind that I hope you guys will like.  Thanks for your support!

  • Radio Cosmos redux!

Radio Cosmos is my way of sharing some of the music I love with you guys.  My dad had a radio show here in Dallas back in the 70’s and 80’s, and I guess I got hooked on sharing music from going to the station with him.  About a decade ago, I was really big into live365.com (one of the first big internet radio station sites)  where I had a show that featured 48 hours of “the best music you’ve never heard”.  As with most things, life happened and I had to move on from live365.

I think of the Radio Cosmos channel as a kind of soundtrack for Suzi, and I play the songs that I listen to while I work on the comic.  In fact, I am listening to the station as I write this.  I try to change it around to keep it fresh, and I am always looking for great new music.  If you have some tunes that would fit the style, please share them with me!  Finding cool songs is one of my joys in life, so share what you got and it just might wind up in the playlist!

    Sunday Science: Fractals

Fractals are amazing. That something so simple can be so complex. I started using fractals in my art about a decade ago. As I have been working on Suzi, the idea that the universe is one big fractal has been lurking in the back of my mind. As I was doing more study on the nature of fractals this weekend, I came across this article from Space.com about how that idea works, but only to a point.

Go check out this cool fractal article from Space.com and let me know what you think.
Have you played with generating your own fractals?  Apophysis 7x is my go to app for creating fractal art, and the best part?  It’s free!  George Kiehne actively develops Apophsis and has some stunning art on his site, so click the link already and start making your own fantastic fractals!
